Guidelines for Customers on the Disposal of ‘End-of-life’ Products
The packaging and components of the appliance are recyclable and appropriately labelled. These must not be disposed of with e-waste. Customers are required to follow prescribed recycling and disposal practices.

- Check product documentation for disposal instructions specific to your appliance
- Separate packaging material for responsible disposal and recycling where possible
- Disconnect batteries before handing over any device
- Protect glass surfaces to prevent breakage and contamination
Don’ts For Customers
- Dismantle electronic products yourself
- Dispose of electronics in general waste or municipal bins
- Hand e-waste to informal collectors, local scrap dealers, or rag pickers
- Dispose of products in landfill-bound garbage streams
Accidental breakage of electronics is a significant concern. As long as toxic components remain within the manufacturer’s original casing, they pose limited risk. Once that casing is damaged, hazardous materials can contaminate the immediate environment. Always dispose through authorised channels.
